Leroy Lambert, a beloved figure in the Mishawaka community and a man of varied and passionate interests, sadly passed away on January 16, 2025, in his hometown of Mishawaka, Indiana. Born on June 29, 1942, to proud parents Monzella Wilson and Remi Lambert, Leroy lived a life marked by his love for family, friends, and the simple joys of life. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Lambert.
Married to his cherished wife, Mary (Miller) Lambert, he was a devoted family man and is remembered with fondness by his daughter, Laura (Drew) Saltzgaber, his adored grandchildren, Ashley, Rachel, Alexis (Jacob) Base, and Victoria, and his precious great-grandchild, Jason Base. Siblings, Leta Johnson, Linda Sullivan, and Leonard Lambert also survive him, missing his warm presence dearly.
An enthusiast of classic cars, Leroy's passion led him to becoming an active member of numerous car clubs throughout his years. Leroy owned his own Sunoco station before retiring as a mechanic from Basney Honda. He enjoyed family time with his granddaughters. His love for the outdoors was evident to all who saw him meticulously caring for his lawn or indulging in the tranquility of his hot tub. Leroy Lambert's legacy is one of joy, love, and the embrace of life's simplest pleasures. He will be deeply missed yet remembered always.
A Memorial Service will be held in honor of Leroy at a later date.
