            Lucille Hixenbaugh, 98, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, She was born on March 10, 1926 in Mishawaka to Lloyd and Helen “Genieva” (Wachs) LeMere.

            She married Arthur De Laruelle, he preceded her in death in 1968. Then on June 27, 1970, in Mishawaka she married Edward Scott Hixenbaugh, he preceded her in death on March 23, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents; children Karen Rehmel and Michael Wagner; a sister, Juanita De Laruelle; and brothers, James LeMere and Richard LeMere.

             Surviving are her children, Omer (Brenda) Nettrouer of Mishawaka, IN, Karen (Bud) Rehmel of Mishawaka, Marlene (Bill) Dudgeon of Rotonda West, FL, Rita Wray of South Bend, Lorraine (David) Csakany of Osceola and Michelle De Laruelle of South Bend; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.

            A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 4 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka. Internment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.

            Hahn Funeral Home, Mishawaka has been entrusted with handling the final arrangements.
