Maria Strykul

     Maria Esterlina Strykul, age 57, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025. She was born on October 24, 1967, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Daniel Strykul and Esterlina Rosas Strykul.

     Maria was a dedicated and hardworking woman throughout her life. She served as an administrative assistant for both the Indiana State Toll Road and Porter Rae Cemetery, where her commitment and attention to detail were deeply appreciated by colleagues and the community alike.

     Family was at the heart of Maria’s life. She was a loving mother to, Kori Putnam, Heather (Chris) Snyder, and Steve Putnam. She was also Darley to her eight grandchildren, Zayden, Evan, Levi, Avery, Aubriana, Tilly, Kaylee and Adelynn whose lives were brightened by her warmth, guidance, and unwavering support. Maria is also survived by her sister, Angelina Strykul.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, John Strykul.

     Maria will be remembered for her love of adventure and free spirit, as well as the love she gave so freely to those around her.

     A private family service was held to honor Maria’s memory. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements and extends their deepest sympathies to the Strykul family
