Marvin Kline Obituary

Mishawaka, IN-Marvin James Kline, 74, passed away on Wednesday June 30, 2021.  He was born in Mishawaka on February 23, 1947, to the late George and Verna (Martin) Kline.  Marvin is also preceded in death by his sisters, Linda Kline and Sharon Kuhn.  He is survived by his children, Mariah S. Kline and Chase M. Kline; grandchild, Graeson L. Kline; his twin sister, Marjorie Mikesell; sisters, Suzanne (Mahmoud Odeh) Loftin, Karen (David) Pedzinski and Valerie (Tracy) Essex; brothers, Jack (Veronica) Kline and Shawn Michael (Sharon) Kline; brother-in-law, James Kuhn; and friend John Mason.

Marvin graduated from Mishawaka High School, Class of 1965.  After high school he enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served his country in the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the VFW 360 and Steel Worker Union Local 1191 where he was the former President and Secretary of the Union.  Marvin worked in the foundry at Dodge Manufacturing in Mishawaka for many years until his retirement.  Marvin’s favorite sport was snowmobiling.  He enjoyed his trips up to the upper peninsula which brought him great joy.  He also was the family encyclopedia and loved numbers.  He could remember anything from license plates to birthdays as he had an incredible memory.  He loved to cook especially for a larger group of people, never just for himself.  Marvin was an avid Notre Dame fan who loved to cheer on the Irish. 

Friends may visit family from 10-11 am on Tuesday, July 6th at Hahn Funeral Home in Mishawaka.  Funeral service will immediately follow at 11 am with Pastor Michael Cramer officiating.  Marvin will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery Veterans Section with Military Rites will be conducted by the VFW 360/American Legion 161 burial squad.
