Mary B. Martin, 95, passed away at home on Sunday, January 14, 2024.

Mary was born in South Bend, Indiana, June 8, 1928 as the daughter of John and Mary (Nemes) Weiss. She was raised in Kingston NY until returning to South Bend after grade school.

            On May 6, 1950 in South Bend she married Daniel Martin, he proceeded her in death on February 27, 2008.

            Surviving are daughter, Michele (Scott) Charlton, Joshua Charlton (grandson), Quinn & Lucy Charlton (great grandkids).

            Daughter, Gail (Michael-deceased) Kedik, Dan (Elexis) Kedik (grandson), Payton, Emma, & Clark Kedik (great grandkids), Chris (Cayla) Kedik (grandson), Owen Kedik (great grandson), Jen (Dre) Lewis (granddaughter), Ayana Wilson, Makiyah Lewis, (great grandkids), Nova Wilson (great great grandchild), Tim (April) Powell (grandson), Paytton (step great granddaughter), Jonathan Kedik (deceased grandson).

            Son, Jay (Annie) Martin, David (Amanda) Martin (grandson), Daniel & John Martin (great grandsons).

            Sister-Johanna (John) Pairitz, numerous nieces and nephews.

            Mary was a nurse for many years. She enjoyed camping and traveling with Dan, visiting most of the United States and going to Australia and New Zealand. She also liked to garden, knit, and read. She was a parishioner at Queen of Peace Church for over 50 years and a member of the Christ Child Society. She volunteered at Busy Hands and knitted scarves for Christmas for Tots.  

            The family would like to give a Special thanks to her longtime friend and neighbor, Betty Jo Boyer; her caregiver, Margaret Hicks; and the Center for Hospice in Mishawaka.

            A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, January 27 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior at the church.

            In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Queen of Peace Church, 4508 Vistula Rd Mishawaka, Indiana 46544-4099.
