Mary Thelma (Biggs) Dawson

Mary Thelma Dawson, 86, of Mishawaka, passed away on Tuesday December 23, 2025, in Raclin House Center for Hospice Mishawaka.

Mary was born June 21, 1939, in Mishawaka as the daughter of Bertie and Mary (Housand) Biggs.

Mary was a private duty CNA for many years in Florida returning to Mishawaka and working in the RV industry before retiring, so she could spend more time with her family.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Shannon and one son  Steven Padgett, one grandson Zach and one sister Birtie “Sue” Hazen and one brother Carl Biggs.

Mary is survived by her children; David (Beverly Padgett, Keely (Dave) Paston, Anne (Steve) Miskin, Kelly (John) Connon, Kari (Bob) Godfrey and Chris Padgett, 20 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Mary loved all her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid Notre Dame and Chicago Bears fan. Loved making Afghans for all her grandchildren and was so proud of that.

For 20 years working she was known for her hard work and how she would run circles around her coworkers that were half her age, she instilled that same work ethic in her children and grandchildren. She will be missed

Family and friends may visit with the family on Sunday December 28, from 3:00 – 5:00 PM in Hahn Funeral Home 505 W 8th Street Mishawaka, cremation will take place follow visitation
