Mary Knight

     Mary JoAnn (DeCraene) Knight, age 74, of Granger, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025. Mary was born on February 27, 1951, to Emil and Marie (Poffenberger) DeCraene.

     Mary is survived by her husband of 55 years, Kevin Knight; her sons, Kyle (Sommer) Knight and Corey (Catherine) Knight; her sister, Dian Weller; and her brother, Bernie (Jan) DeCraene. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Caden Knight and Caroline Knight, along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother John DeCraene, and her daughter Stephanie Knight.

     Mary loved to read and knit, but she loved her grandchildren more than anything else. Over the years, she worked several full-time and part-time jobs. Her house was always full of cats and dogs, and she hoped contributions might be made in her name to any local animal rescue service or humane society.

     She was a good wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and simply a good person. She will be missed by many.

     No formal services will be held at this time. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted to handle the final arrangements.
