Mary Ann Kronewitter

            Mary Ann Grimes Kronewitter, 99, of Mishawaka, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, in Belltower Health and Rehabilitation Center.

            Mary Ann was born on October 11, 1926, in South Bend.

            Surviving Mary Ann is her daughter, Karen Murphy of Osceola and a son Kenneth Grimes of South Bend: five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother Verna Berta; her daughter Debra Brothers, a son-in-law, Thomas Murphy, daughter-in-law- Linda Grimes, two brothers, Patrick Klaybor and Steve Berta Jr.

            Mary Ann was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She could always make you smile. Mary Ann will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

            As per Mary Ann’s wishes there will be no visitation and services will be private at a later date. A cremation has taken place. Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.
