Matthew Scott Kamm, 63, of Seminole, Florida passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023. He was born in Mishawaka, IN on January 30, 1960, to the late William M. and Ida E. “Babe” (Barrett) Kamm.
Surviving Matt are his sisters, Chris (Ray) Garvin of Edwardsburg, MI and Lauren Davis of Clearwater Beach, FL; his brother, Mark (Debbie) Kamm of Granger, IN; nieces and nephews, Dr. Tiffany (Greg) Szymarek, Scott Garvin, Daniel (Laura) Davis, Brian Davis, David (Kindra) Kamm, and Chase Martin; and his former wife, Kitty R. Kamm. In addition to Matt’s family, he leaves behind several extended family and dear friends, Mike and Rita Moore and Margaret Howard all of Kokomo, IN.
Matt is a 1979 graduate of John Adams High School in South Bend, IN and a 1981 graduate of Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Early in Matt’s career he worked for several Michiana funeral homes, including Hahn Funeral Home. After receiving his license, he went to work for Ellers Mortuary, Inc. in Kokomo, IN where he worked for 28 years as a Funeral Director. When he retired, he moved to Largo, Florida.
Matt will be missed by all who called him a friend, but especially by his faithful companion, “Princess Babe” a Toy Manchester Terrier, whom he named after his mom who was also fond of this breed of dog.
Family and friends may visit from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A private burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka, IN.
