Melissa Lynn (McGee) Rumfelt

Melissa Lynn Rumfelt, 38, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 27, 2021.  Melissa was born in Lincoln, NE, on July 8, 1983, to James and Peggy (Farny) McGee.  Surviving Melissa are her parents; husband, Jason Rumfelt; children, Grace Amelia, Vassar Maxwell and Simon Lewis; sister, Amy (Kevin) Braat; brother, James (Karin) McGee; nephews, James and Joshua; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert A. and Robin Pedzinski; brothers-in-law, Joel Rumfelt, Vincent (Serna) Rumfelt, Robert (Brittany) Pedzinski, Chris Pedzinski and Eric (Celsey) Pedzinski; and a host of extended family members and numerous friends.

Melissa was a very loving and caring person. She graduated with honors from Lake Michigan College with a Associate in Applied Science in Radiological Technology X – Ray.  She enjoyed her job as an x-ray tech and took pride in caring for others.  She loved to garden, baking and cooking for holidays and to work on home improvements projects.  She loved the challenge of a DIY.  She was a huge animal lover.  Most of all, she loved her kids who were her world.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, from 5-7 pm in Hahn Funeral Home in Mishawaka.  Funeral Service will be held at 7 pm with Pastor Chuck Wotring officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the children’s college funds c/o of the family.
