Merrilee S. Ginther

            Merrilee Sharon Ginther, 83, passed away peacefully in her daughter’s home. Merrilee was born to Leopold and Gertrude Sheidler on December 15, 1940, in Elkhart IN.

            As a young bride she married Ronald Ford, producing two daughters, Kelly and Christine. When the girls were 5 and 3 Merrilee met and married Carl Ginther on December 4, 1964. This new union produced Carla and Carl II. They were happily married for 29 years, until his passing on September 17, 1993.

            Throughout her life, Merrilee dedicated herself to her profession as a seamstress. She had a passion for quilting and crafting stuffed animals. She loved her puzzles and playing all kinds of card games with her family. So much so that every single family member has their own special memories of playing these games with her.

            Merrilee will be remembered fondly for her warmth, creativity, and the love she shared with her family.

            A private family graveside service has taken place, on Monday July 22, 2024, in Fairview cemetery, Mishawaka. Hahn Funeral home has been entrusted with the final arrangements.
