Michael E. Donahue Sr.

Michael E. Donahue, 81, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.  Michael was born on February 9, 1943, to the late Bernard and Mary (Michaels) Donahue.  On January 15, 1983, he married Alexandra DeMarino.  Michael was an iron worker with Local #292 before he retired.

Surviving are his children, Lisa (Larry) Cecchini, Kerri Fini-Price, Christina (Greg) Fry, Michael (Judy) Donahue Jr., Sue Ellen Donahue; grandchildren, Christina, Teresa (Anthony), Dominique (Mark), Frank (Sandra), Travis, Kimberly; great grandchildren, Francesco, Sophia, Alessia; siblings, Cathy, Martha, Julie, Dale and Tracy as well as many extended family members and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Pat Donahue and Tim Donahue.

Michael was an avid NASCAR fan, especially Jeff Gordon.  He and Alexandra loved going to NASCAR races.  He loved to garden and give away his vegetables to his neighbors. Michael enjoyed being out in his yard working and mowing the lawn if he wasn’t visiting the casino.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 1-3 pm in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN with a celebration of life 3 pm.  A private interment will be held in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date.
