Michael A Spice

Mishawaka, Indiana-Michael A. Spice, 68, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away at home on September 20, 2020. 

Michael was born on May 28, 1952 to Ray and Leota (Weaver) Spice.  He is preceded in death by his mother and father.  He is survived by his children, Anna (Jaime) Yoder and Jason Havens; siblings, Vicki (Larry) Davies, Rex Spice, Sharon Curtis, Terry Spice and many nieces and nephews.  He has 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Michael joined the US Army in August of 1970 until his honorable discharge in May of 1972.  He then worked as a landscape laborer at the University of Notre Dame for over 30 years. There he  met many friends who became family along the way.

He enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley, and attending Biker Church on Sundays.

No services will be held and cremation has taken place.

God saw you getting tired

When a cure was not to be,

He closed His arms around you,

and whispered “COME TO ME”.

In tears we saw you sinking,

We watched you fade away.

Our hearts were almost broken,

You fought so hard to stay.

But when we saw you sleeping

so peacefully, free from pain.

We would not wish you back,

to suffer that again.

So treasure him, Lord,

in your garden of rest.
