Michael Allen Van Tornhout

            Michael Allen Van Tornhout , passed away peacefully on October 1st, 2024, in Mishawaka, IN at the age of 73. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, he leaves behind a legacy of warmth and love.

            Michael was born on March 20th, 1951, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late Charles Van Tornhout and Marion (Vandervelt) Van Tornhout.

            He shared a beautiful life with his devoted wife, Debby, since their marriage on May 14, 1977. Together, they nurtured a family, instilling values of kindness and compassion. Their adoration blossomed into the lives of their children, daughter Racheal McNulty and son Tim (Trisha) Van Tornhout. His joy multiplied as he welcomed his cherished grandchildren, Brynn and Brandy Van Tornhout.

           Michael was a treasured sibling to Christine Abke and Reni (Karen) Van Tornhout. Preceded in death by his brother Charles Van Tornhout, his memories are honored by his family's remembrance. Michael's kind spirit and genuine heart will be deeply missed and eternally cherished by all who knew him.

            A visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th St, Mishawaka. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 in the Funeral Home. Cremation will take place after the service.  If you wish to make donations in memory of Michael, the family requests donations be made to the Human Society of Berrien County Michigan.
