Michele L (Wilson) Olson

Sturgis, MI-Michele L. Olson, 60, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 6, 2021.  Michele was born in Mishawaka on September 9, 1960, to Tom Wilson and Sue Bowen.  On February 10, 2007, in Las Vegas, Michele married Daniel Olson.  Surviving Michele are her parents; her husband; her children and step-children, Daniele (Jeremy) Dallman, Paul Dawson III, Robert Lehner III, Kristin (James) Schragg, Martin Friedman, Stephanie Olson, and Michael Olson; 10 grandchildren, Maya Dallman, Ella Dallman, Isaac Lehner, Kendal Schragg, Noah Lehner, Jameson Schragg, Yuri Friedman, Zaiden Dawson, Kalahan Schragg,  and Cullen Friedman; and brothers, Tony (Kim) Wilson and Tom (Pam) Wilson.

Michele earned her undergraduate degree from Indiana University of South Bend in 1986 and went on to earn a Masters degree in Social Work form Western Michigan University in 1996.  She had a passion for learning and also earned various certificate degrees in paralegal studies and business.

Anyone that knew Michele knew her love for good food, rescuing and caring for animals, time with her family, and traveling and exploring new places.  Some of the places she traveled to were England, Italy, Hong Kong and Germany.  Even with her many travels her heart was always at home with her grandkids, who knew her as Nonnie.

Visitation will be 12-2 pm, Monday, July 12th at Hahn Funeral Home in Mishawaka with funeral services immediately following at 2 pm.  Private burial will take place at a later date.
