Mildred F Moore-Lydeen

            Mildred was born on June 29, 1936, in Malden, Missouri to the late Coleman & Lena (Griffin) Stalcup. She passed away on Friday, June 28th, 2024, in her granddaughter’s home surrounded by her loved ones, 1 day shy of her 88th birthday.

            After moving with her family to Mishawaka in the 1950’s, she attended Mishawaka High School and graduated in 1954. She made a career in retail with clothing (which is evident by her impeccable wardrobe), and worked at Ankerson’s, Hudson’s and Marshall Fields. She was an avid golfer, always loved traveling, and hoping to win “big money” at the casino.

            Affectionally, known as Millie, she touched many lives during her time on earth. Millie leaves behind her husband of 36 years, Richard (Dick) Lydeen. Millie & Dick’s greatest joy was spending time with their children and grandchildren. 

            She leaves behind 4 daughters from her union to the late Edward D. Moore: Debra (Bill) Panzica, Lori (Tim Kruger) Moore, Pamela (Mark) Budd and Kelly (David) Wunder.

                        She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren: Nicole (Courtney) Donatto, Lindsey Budd, Madeline (Paul) Quist, Jessica Wunder, Christopher Stockberger, Hannah Moore, Benjamin Wunder, Jacob Wunder and Max Kruger, 1 great-grandchild, Emerson Corl, one brother-in-law, Don Lydeen, and a host of nieces and nephews.

            She was preceded in death by her parents, Coleman & Lena (Griffin) Stalcup, her brothers, Robert, Troy, Roy Stalcup, her sisters-in-law, Chlotene Stalcup, Martha Stalcup, and Molly Lydeen.

            A funeral service will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th St, Mishawaka, IN 46544 with visitation 2 hours prior. She will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

            The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice, her nurse Satia Louise and her aid Brittany, your compassion to Mom was heartfelt.

            In lieu of flowers, Millie’s wishes were donations to be made to the Humane Society of St. Joseph County, 2506 Grape Rd, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
