Mishawaka, IN-Pauline Fay Ferrettie, 96, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021. Pauline was born on July 17, 1924, in Nashville, IN, to the late Forrest and Hazel (McGee) Henderson Sr. On March 3, 1943, Pauline married the late Henry R. Ferrettie who preceded her in death on March 31, 1985. Pauline is also preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Terry Wentworth, sister, Dorothy Coussens and brother, Forrest Henderson Jr. Surviving Pauline are her sons, John (Rose) Ferrettie and Tom (Annie) Ferrettie; grandchildren, Mark Wentworth, Leslie Wentworth, Eric (Abby) Ferrettie, Kevin (Martha) Ferrettie, Beth (Rob) Leazenby and Nick (Laina) Ferrettie; great-grandchildren, Anna, Gia, Colin, Lily, Norah, Mira and Maddie Ferrettie and Gemma and Jade Leazenby.
Pauline worked at Uniroyal for over 38 years before her retirement. Pauline loved to play cards with family and friends and was a fierce competitor, whether playing euchre, poker or kings in the corner. She enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and visiting local casinos. She was a dedicated fan of Notre Dame Football, men’s and women’s basketball and her beloved Chicago Cubs. Pauline loved spending time with her great grandchildren as much as they enjoyed their time with her. They are going to miss their “Gigi”
The Ferrettie family would like to express its gratitude to the staff at Sprenger assisted living facility for the kind and compassionate care they provided Pauline. In addition a special thanks to her card playing buddies Bev, Laura, Mary Ann and Marcie, whose friendship and concern were a tremendous comfort to her. The family would also like to express their appreciation to the staff at Heartland Hospice for their assistance during the past month. The family is planning to have a memorial to celebrate her life at a future date. Due to health and safety concerns, there will be no public services at this time.
