Peggy A. Grenert, a talented artist and loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully in Mishawaka, Indiana. She was born in Idalia, Colorado, to Otto and Golda Krien, and lived a life full of creativity, quiet strength, and deep love for her family.
Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Grenert; her parents, Otto and Golda Krien; and her sister, Carolyn Brewer. She is survived by her children: Michael Grenert (Chris), Johnna Grenert Taff (Michael), and Eric Grenert (Cindy); her brothers Adrian Brower and Jim Krien; her sister Barbara Lamblin; and her grandchildren Ciara Taff-Staley (Caleb), Jacob Taff, Emma Taff, Harrison Grenert, and Jackson Grenert.
Peggy expressed her artistic soul through her pencil drawings and oil paintings, often inspired by scenic landscapes and western themes. She was also an avid reader and never turned down the challenge of a good crossword puzzle.
Her gentle spirit, quiet humor, and creative legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peggy’s memory to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana or Pet Refuge, causes close to her heart.
