Phyllis Anne Himschoot

     Phyllis Anne Himschoot Passed away on September 29, 2025. Phyllis was born in St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka, Indiana, on October 17, 1938, to the late Gilbert J. Coty Sr., and Cecilia Hirscher.

     Phyllis was a parishioner of St. Bavo Parish where she had served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a part of Christ Renews His Parish. She graduated from St. Joseph High School South Bend, Indiana in 1956. She received a certificate in Medical Assistance from Ivy Tech in 1998.

     On May 9, 1954, she married Robert H. Himschoot at Sacred Heart Basilica, Notre Dame, Indiana. She is survived by her husband, Robert; her children, James A. (Karla) Himschoot, John M. (Holly) Himschoot; grandchildren, Jordan Anthony Himschoot and Alyssa Paige Himschoot.

     Phyllis was preceded by her parents, and her siblings, Mary, Gil and Rich.

     Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 2:00 – 6:00 PM, with a Rosary at 4:00 PM, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM, in St. Bavo Catholic Church, 511 W. 7th Street, Mishawaka, with Father Pete Pacini, C.S.C officiating. Phyllis will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery, Portage Road, South Bend, Indiana.

     In Liew of flowers, contributions may be made to Center for Hospice, Mishawaka, or to St. Bavo Parish, 511 W. 7thStreet, Mishawaka.
