Phyllis Eileen Miller

   Phyllis E. “Eileen” Miller, 75, of Mishawaka, passed away after a short illness surrounded by her loving family. Eileen was born on April 14, 1949, to Eugene and Helen (Oakley) McIntyre in South Bend, IN. She was a lifelong resident of the Michiana area. Eileen had a long history of working in a variety of retail positions throughout her career. In December, she retired as a store manager for Low Bob’s Tobacco stores.

   Eileen is survived by her husband, Leslie Miller of Mishawaka; her daughter, Diana (Emily Peffer) Miller of Madison, WI; sister, Diane Traster of Baltimore, OH; brother, Dennis (Teresa) McIntyre of Granger; many nieces and nephews as well as extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Jay Traster and nephew, Timmy Traster.

   The family would like to thank the team at The Center for Hospice, especially Melissa, Shunee and Katie. Additionally, they would like to thank all the people who visited, texted and sent cards with special acknowledgement to Kelley Bragg and her son Carson, who were chosen family members as well as her lifelong friend, Jodie Brink.

   In honoring Eileen’s wishes there will be no funeral but instead a Celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 1:00-4:00 PM, at the Wyatt Fire Station, 66341 IN-331 Wyatt, IN. Donations in Eileen’s honor may be sent to The Center for Hospice, 501 Comfort Pl, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
