Richard Lee Nash Sr., 77, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021, in his home surrounded by his loved ones. Richard was born on April 1, 1944, in Mishawaka, IN, to the late Charles and Lillie (Smith) Nash. Also preceding him in death are his brothers, William “Bill”, Samuel and Charles “Moe” Nash; sister, Wanda Jones; and grandchildren, Tiffany and Randy.
Richard married the former Cindy Denslow and they enjoyed 48 years together. He is survived by his wife, Cindy; his children, Richard L. Nash Jr., Tina (Ron) Kellogg and Cherie (Kevin) Luhrsen; grandchildren, Nicole, Carlie, John, Aaron, Riley, Haley and Claire; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Payson, Elliott, Gabe, Emerson, Carson and baby Hayden; sister, Jeanette (Pete) Taylor; and sisters-in-law, Judy (Ron) Gerstneshlager, Karen Nash, Charlotte Nash and Virginia Nash.
Richard worked at Dodge Manufacturing for 40 years before his retirement. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. He loved to play softball, go bowling and play cards.
Visitation will be 4 pm-7 pm, Friday, October 22nd in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. The family is asking for those in attendance to wear jeans and your favorite flannel shirt.
