Granger, IN-Richard “Padre” W. Shock, 59, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. Richard was born in Mishawaka, IN on April 11, 1961, to the late Leonard and Mary (Leonard) Shock. On October 8, 1983, in South Bend, Richard married his soulmate, Melissa Villanueva who survives. Also surviving are his children, Jenna (Oscar) Perez, Anicia (Tom) Lavengood, Zack (Holly) May, Jessica (Aaron) Mills and John (Alex) Cuneo; grandchildren, Dustin, Cody, Tristyn, ChaCha, Jordan, Jerzey, Tyler, Ari, Luca, Mali and Oliver; brothers, Terry, Duke and Steve; sisters, Connie, DeAnn, Cheryl and Peggy; and his dog, his “little buddy”, Hank.
Richard was an avid hunter, outdoorsman, and handyman that could fix almost anything with a big hammer. He loved his family and opened his doors many times throughout the years to anyone in need. He was a father figure to many people in his life. He had a huge heart with a soft spot for anyone who needed guidance, love, a helping-hand or just a meal. He will be missed by many.
Per his wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no service.
