Robert L. Adams, 95, passed away Saturday April 13, 2024, at Plymouth Millers Merry Manor with family by his side. “Bob” Was Born on August 30, 1928, in South Bend to Charles W. Adams and Amy B. (Toops) Adams.
Bob married Barbara Rodgers of Mishawaka and they celebrated 68 years together. They raised their family in Twin Branch, where he built a lovely home for them. Left behind to cherish his memory is his son, Robert Adams of Mishawaka; his daughter, Sharon (Bob) Bussard of North Liberty; grandchildren, Robert, Brian, Lori, Angela, Beth, Adam, and Jim; eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great- grandchildren; nieces and nephews; a brother, Paul Adams, and a sister, Jane Sattler.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barb; a brother, Gerald Adams; and a sister Martha Clark.
Bob attended the First Church of the Nazarene for many years. He enjoyed being outside working in the yard and gardens. He had musical instruments and enjoyed many types of music. Bob retired in 1982 as a machine operator after 32 years with the former Bendix Corp. Bob and Barb had a home built in the country when the nest was empty. They enjoyed having family gatherings and were thankful for good neighbors.
The family would like to thank the staff at Millers Merry Manor for their kindness and care for Bob. A memorial contribution may be made in Bob’s name to; Traditions health Hospice, 3555 Park Place West, Suite 100 Mishawaka, IN 46545.
As per his wishes there will be no public visitation or services. The burial will be at a later date.
