Robert Ruiz

            Robert Ruiz, 61, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024, in South Bend, Indiana. Robert was born on June 24, 1963, to the late Severino Ruiz and Maria (Gonzalez) Ruiz. Beloved husband of the late Dori Whitmer, and a devoted father and grandfather, Robert's warm presence is deeply missed.

            Robert is survived by his loving stepsons, John (Michelle) Garab, Nicholas Garab, Christopher (Ashley) Garab, and David Garab Jr.; his adored grandchildren, Zoey, Kayne, Arianna, Caleb, and Dori Sue; and his precious great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Zack, and Zander. He is also mourned by his caring siblings, Marisa Ruiz, Myrna Lopez, Irma Mosinski, and brother Hector Ruiz.

            A skilled cook, his love for culinary arts was evident in his many years spent in restaurant kitchens, delighting patrons with his craft. His warm spirit and passion for his family and community were evident in everything he did. Robert's life and legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him.

            Per Roberts wishes there will be no formal services held at this time. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted to handle the final arrangements.
