When Battell School moved to their current location, she started working full time for the next 20 years and retired in 1996. She developed lasting relationships with many of her coworkers, teachers and principals throughout the years. She was warm and willing to help anyone who needed it. She loved the many students she connected with and was always willing to give a child a coat, gloves or a hat from the lost and found box on a cold day because they forgot theirs on the walk to school. She looked forward to giving hugs in the morning for any child that wanted or needed one as well as any encouraging words to start their day.
