Roshan Samuel Gupta, 24, born on May 8, 2001, in South Bend, Indiana, passed away on February 16, 2026.
Roshan was the son of Vikram and Aradhna Gupta, brother to Rahul Gupta, and uncle to Greyson Gupta. He is also survived by his grandparents, Gautam and Kasturi Gupta, and Patricia John.
Roshan ran his own landscaping business, and per his clients, was excellent at what he did. He was also a student at Indiana University of South Bend, where he was pursuing a degree in psychology.
Roshan’s most notable interest was music, metal in particular. He was a talented musician, skilled at guitar, bass, vocals, and even piano. He had his own doom metal band called Climate of Despair, an officially listed band on The Metal Archives. He also had a vast collection of metal CDs, vinyls, and cassettes. He would frequently give away CDs and other merch to his friends, followers, and fellow musicians.
Those who were close with Roshan would describe him as helpful, generous and kind. He was always willing to support others, and would often act as a mentor for those who needed it. He worked as a summer camp counselor for the boy scouts, where he was also NRA certified and ran the shotgun range.
A private Memorial Service for Roshan will take place. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements and extends their deepest sympathies to the Gupta family.
