Roy Paridaen peacefully passed away at home, on March 12, 2026, surrounded by his family, at the age of 99. Roy was born in Mishawaka on November 12, 1926, to the late, Joseph Paridaen and Martha (DeVleeschouwer) Paridaen.  He was the youngest of the four Paridaen children, Albert, Camiel, Elizabeth, and Roy.

After graduating from Mishawaka High School, Roy began his journey in the Tool & Die trade as an apprentice. He was drafted into the Army, and upon his honorable discharge, he returned to complete his apprenticeship. Roy then devoted his career to the Tool & Die field, ultimately retiring in 1982 from Alumni Tool & Die, where he had become a part owner.

In 1949, Roy married Virginia Hunt, and together they had three sons: Rick (Connie) Paridaen, Martin (Lisa) Paridaen, and Kurtis (Joellen) Paridaen.

In 1981, Roy married Marilyn Vance Bowman, and his family grew to include three daughters: Denise Gosztola, Michelle (Jim) McDonald, and Stacie (Brian) Campbell.

Roy and Marilyn shared 22 years together in Sun City, Ruskin, Florida, creating lasting memories.

Roy was blessed with a large and loving family, including 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Martha, his brothers Albert and Camiel, his first wife Virginia, sons Martin and Kurtis, and great-grandchildren William, Foster, and Miles.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn, son Rick, and stepdaughters Denise, Michelle, and Stacie.

Roy enjoyed spending time with friends, sharing stories over a cold beer, playing Euchre, and socializing at the BK Club. He took immense pride in his Belgian heritage and was a devoted member of the BK Club for over 80 years.

In Roy's memory, contributions may be made to the BK Club, 721 S. West Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.

Honoring Roy’s wishes, he will be cremated and no service will be held at this time. A celebration of his life will be planned for a later date. Roy’s pride in his Belgian heritage will always be remembered.
