Sharon Marie Dewey

     Sharon Marie Dewey, 83, of Mishawaka, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025.
She was born on August 13, 1942, in Mishawaka, to Michael Schelestraete and Margerat (De Slover) Schelestraete.

     Sharon graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1960.

     On June 26, 1965, Sharon married the love of her life, Thomas Dewey, at St. Bavo Catholic Church in Mishawaka. Sharon dedicated her life to her family as a housewife, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love, support, and countless cherished memories.

     She was a devoted and loving mother to Stephanie (Joe) Jakubowski and Troy (Lisa) Dewey, and a proud grandmother to Hannah Jakubowski and Haylie Jakubowski. Sharon is also survived by many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

     She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas Dewey, and her sister, Elsie Hobkirk, and her brothers Joseph Schelestraete, Ed Schelstraete, Prosper Schelstraete, and Michael Schelstraete.

     A visitation will take place on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 2:00PM – 3:30 PM, In Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th St. Mishawaka. Service will begin at 3:30 PM, in the funeral home.
