Sharon Shafer

Mishawaka, IN-Sharon Shafer, 77, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021.  Sharon was born in South Bend on April 25, 1944, to the late Charlie and Josephine (Pauwels) Shafer.  She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Bernice Peters and Patricia Holland; and a brother, Leroy Shafer.  She is survived by a son, Charles (Lorrie) Ford; 3 grandchildren, Charles Ford Jr., Craig Ford and Cyle Ford; sisters, Joan Shafer and Betty (Ted) Lubelski; and many nieces and nephews. 

Sharon was a waitress at Wayne’s Place and worked at the South Bend Farmer’s Market for over 20 years.  Her customers were like family, they all loved her.  Sharon was also an avid animal lover but especially loved her cats.

Visitation will be 11 am-1:30 pm on Friday, June 4th at Hahn Funeral Home in Mishawaka.  Memorial Service will be immediately following at 1:30 pm with Charlie Shafer officiating.  Sharon will be laid to rest in Southlawn Cemetery.
