Sharon A. Swingendorf

South Bend-Sharon A. Swingendorf, 72, passed away at home on, Monday, November 12 after a battle with cancer and emphysema.
Sharon was born on May 3, 1940 to Rudolph and Celina (Maes) De Cocker. She was preceded in death by her parents.
On June 13, 1966, in St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka, she married Frederick Swingendorf. She is survived by her loving husband, Frederick; children, Christine Swingendorf of South Bend, F. Daniel Swingendorf of Seattle, WA, Michael Swingendorf of Mishawaka, Matthew W. (Denise) Swingendorf of Indianapolis, IN and Susan Swingendorf-Rollins of South Bend; four grandchildren, Austin, Megan, Alexis and Kamryn Swingendorf and a brother, Tom De Cocker of Vandalia, MI.
Sharon was a lovely woman who was very kind and giving. She loved gardening in her flower garden and loved birds. She was a 1958 graduate of St. Joseph High School in South Bend and a 1962 graduate of Ball State University where she earned her Degree in Education. She enjoyed working along side her husband for 26 years at Butch Lawn Sprinkler Service.
Visitation will be on Thursday, November 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be on Friday, November 16 at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. John Patrick Riley officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
