Tamara “Tami” S. Kindley, 65, of Mishawaka, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025. Born June 19, 1960, in South Bend, Indiana, to Ruth Lois (Melton) Yankee. Tami grew up in the Michiana area and became a talented cook and restaurant owner known for her love of food and people.

On April 29, 1984, she married Samuel F. Kindley, who preceded her in death on November 19, 2019. She was also preceded in death by her mother and siblings, Archie Yankee Jr. and Glenna Harter .

Surviving her is her daughter, Jennifer (Tim) Barhydt; stepsons, John (Julie) Kindley and David Kindley; The loves of her life: granddaughters, Abby and Samantha “Jo” Barhydt; and ten step-grandchildren; siblings, Jane Weesner, Jim Yankee, and Ann Dylewski; former daughter-in-law, Michelle Kindley; and her beloved dogs, Cloey Jean, Lola, and Sophie.

Tami will be remembered for her passion for cooking and devotion to her grandchildren.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, November 14th, from 4:00–6:00 p.m. at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Celebration of Life will follow at 6:00 p.m. The Family has requested everyone dress in hippie attire
