Teri Lee King

November 3, 1948 – April 2, 2024

            Teri Lee King, 75, passed away on April 2, 2024, at Elkhart General Hospital.

Teri was born on November 3, 1948, in Elkhart, Indiana to the late Harold and Betty Lee Wise.  On December 7, 1980, Teri married Roy H. King Sr. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2020. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Miah King.

Teri will be lovingly remembered by her family, and is survived by her stepchildren, Randy R. (Melina) Turner, Angela R. (Todd) Brooke, Roy H. (Janice) King Jr., her step-grandchildren; Austin Turner, Brianna Turner, Vance Brooke, Avery Brooke, Violette Brooke, Ivette Brooke, Elijah King, Eliana King, and Charley King; her brothers, Larry (Rosalee) Wise, and Travis (Paula) Wise; nephew, Nathaniel (Amy) Wise; and her niece, Hannah (Dennis) BruBaker.       

Before retiring, Teri worked as a CNA at Greencroft nursing home in Goshen, Indiana.   Teri’s interests were listening to music; she especially loved the Beatles; watching old classic movies and TV shows; and eating at Chinese buffet restaurants. She loved her family and friends, and enjoyed spending time with extended family at reunions.  She also enjoyed talking about her niece, nephew, and grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 18th at 11 am (Eastern) at Belmont Neighborhood Fellowship Church, 925 Oxford St., Elkhart, Indiana 46516.  A light lunch will follow the service.             

Hahn Funeral Home, Mishawaka, has been entrusted with making the final arrangements.
