Thomas Cassidy Obituary

Thomas (Tom) Cassidy, a beloved father, friend, and family member, passed away in his home in Warsaw, Indiana on November 2, 2025, at age 60.

Tom was born in Oak Lawn, Illinois to Darrell and Sherry Cassidy on October 22, 1965, along with his twin sister, Robin. He attended Bloom Trail High School where he graduated in 1983.

Tom was a devoted employee at Biomet / Zimmer Biomet from December 1990 until he retired in March 2020 as a Senior CAD Designer. Co-workers / Friends would say Tom was a mentor of sorts. He liked to make sure everyone had what they needed, and he would fight for fairness. Tom also volunteered his time and served in KEMRAD (Kosciusko Emergency Radio) over the years directing traffic and helping with local events. He met some great friends during this time.

Tom loved Corgis. He had a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Corey who he loved to take fishing on the boat with him. They were best buds. Tom loved fishing and the outdoors. He also loved camping, Harley Davidsons, scary movies, root beer floats, and Rock ‘n’ Roll.

Tom is survived by his father, Darrell Cassidy; his twin sister, Robin Lubbinga; his younger sister, Sarah (Doug) Fezler; his daughters, Christan Cassidy and Jennifer Cassidy; and six grandchildren, Ariel, Shane, Sivana, Logan, Giavonna, and Gradyn.

Preceded in death by his mother, Sherry Cassidy, whom he loved and missed very much.
