Thomas (Tom) Evan Felix, 57, passed away unexpectedly in his home on September 17, 2021. Tom was born on July 26, 1964, in Mishawaka, IN to Robert and Sharon (Livengood) Felix. Tom is survived by his parents and his siblings, Ron (Kelly), Sherri, Andy (Heather) and Joe (Mary). On July 15, 1995, Tom married the love of his life, Sue (Canarecci) Felix. She survives with along their three amazing children, Will (25), Abby (23) and Maddy (21). He was a 1982 graduate of Penn High School. He continued his education at the Purdue Extension at IUSB.
Tom was a man of few words unless he was watching his beloved Chicago Bears. He was an avid fan and never missed a game. Tom was a jack of all trades. He had a knack for fixing things. He enjoyed problem solving and fixing computers. He worked on all the family cars. Tom loved music and dancing. This quiet man could light up the dance floor. Tom loved going to the casino with his dad. He even managed to get his wife, kids and mother-in-law there often. Family holidays with his parents, siblings, wife and children always involved a “friendly” but competitive game of poker. Tom had a contagious laugh. He loved watching funny movies and it was fun watching with him because his laugh was often more comical than the flick itself. Besides a wishful daily trip to the casino, he made sure he had a cup of his favorite java every morning from Panera. Also fitting with Tom’s solitude personality was his love of fishing. He could spend hours sitting on a pier or in a boat casting away. Tom was a proud member of the De'Amici Club where he enjoyed spending time with family. Tom was a devoted husband, father, son and sibling. He will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 24th from 5:00-7:00 pm at Hahn Funeral Home in Mishawaka with a prayer service being held at 7:00 pm.
