Troy Nelson

     Troy Nelson, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 28, 2025. Born on November 1, 1947, to James and Ethel (Paul) Nelson. Troy grew up in a close-knit family alongside his siblings Betty, Roy, John, and William.

      He was preceded in death by his sister Betty Robb and brother John Nelson.

     On January 1, 1995, Troy married the love of his life, Judy (Desich) Nelson. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and family. Troy was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who took great pride in his family.

     He is survived by his beloved wife Judy; his children Stephanie Nelson, Melinda Nelson, Mandy Nelson, and Troy L. Nelson; and his stepson Phil Stephenson. Troy was also blessed with seven wonderful grandchildren and many cherished nieces and nephews. He will also be deeply missed by his two little buddies, his beloved dogs, Little Bit and Jake

     Troy loved spending time outdoors, especially if that meant going fishing. Troy was an avid bowler. He was very proud of the fact that he once bowled a perfect 300-point game.

     A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM, in Fairview Cemetery, where military rights will be performed by the VFW 360/ American Legion 161.

     In lieu of flowers, you may make a memorial contribution to the Center for Hospice in Troy’s Name.
