Virginia Belle (Shaw) Kent

Virginia Belle Kent, 93, of Mishawaka, Indiana passed away the evening of Thursday, October 19, 2023, in her home. She was born on February 14, 1930, in Mishawaka to the late Cecil H. and Ella (Rush) Shaw. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Mikesell and Jennie Mae Williams.

Virginia is survived by two children, Kelly Kent and Kristi (James) Schrader; three grandchildren, Emily (Chad) Compton, Kyle Schrader, and Andrew (Molly) Schrader; and four great-grandchildren.

Virginia worked at the business office at Mishawaka Utilities for 21 years and was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend, and could light up a room with her bubbly personality and positive attitude. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, at First United Methodist Chapel, 201 East 3rd St, Mishawaka, IN 46544 at 2pm with one hour of visitation prior. Virginia will be buried at Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
