William C. Bragg (Bill), 70, passed away on June 24, 2025, surrounded by his family in South Bend, Indiana. Bill was born on April 5, 1955, in Indianapolis Indiana to the late Herbert H. Bragg and Mary Wilcox Balay. Bill was the youngest of five children and was proceeded in death by his brothers Steve Bragg, Roger Bragg, sister Wanda Brock and his stepson Doug DuComb. He is survived by his loving sister Roberta Ward, his Son Nathan (Ashley) Bragg, his daughter Kelley Horein, his stepson Chad DuComb, the joys of his life, his six grandchildren, Carson Salinas, Gage Horein, Nolan Bragg, Adaline Bragg, Eliza Bragg, and Olivia Bragg, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Bill was born in the Midwest, but Bellingham Washington is where he considered home. Bill graduated from Bellingham High School where he excelled in track and football, holding many school records. Bill continued to love sports and was an avid Mariners and Seahawks fan, but his favorite was watching his children and grandchildren on the field. Bill loved coaching his own children throughout their lives and later found so much joy watching his grandchildren on the field.
Bill was a friend to many, loving to joke and meet new people wherever he went. He loved to talk to his family on the phone, visit family in different parts of the country, and keep up with his children’s friends as well. Bill enjoyed spending time working in his yard and tending a garden with his little dog Tilly by his side.
Bill leaves behind a legacy of love and a commitment to staying connected to family and will be very missed by those who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements and extends their deepest sympathies to the Bragg family.
