Zoe’ Rita Arrowsmith, 71, of 500 Lincoln Way East, Mishawaka, passed away in her home, on August 31, 2024.
She was born in Mishawaka to Delbert and Lois (Higgins) Arrowsmith on June 9, 1953. Both her parents preceded her in death along with sisters Jan, Amy, Barbara, and Dana Kim, and a brother, Timothy.
Zoe’ was a 1971 graduate of Penn High School. After high school Zoe’ graduated from Vogue Beauty College. She later was employed at Mishawaka Enterprise as a typesetter and proofreader. She retired from School City of Mishawaka less than a year ago after serving for 32 years in the food service department.
She is survived by a sister Joni (Craig) Whitfield of Mishawaka, and a brother, Gerald Roy, of South Bend. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, Christina Blondell, Kari Walling, Jeffrey Arrowsmith, Justin Shook, and Kiana Smith.
Zoe’ was a conscientious worker and was well liked by her co-workers. She was an avid reader and collected dolls, Hallmark ornaments, and crystal figurines. Zoe’ believed in the Lord as her savior. She attended First Baptist Church in Mishawaka, and in later years enjoyed the message of various televangelists. She was very proud of her nieces and nephews and all their accomplishments. Zoe’s fondest memories were of family. She spoke fondly of once riding a train with her mom, who died when she was ten years old, and traveling to visit her sister in Arizona.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to St. Margaret’s House at 117 N. Lafayette St., South Bend.
Visitation will be held on Friday September 6, 2024, where friends will be received from 3:00 – 7:00PM, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St. Mishawaka. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday September 7, 2024, at Hahn Funeral Home, With Pastor Aaron Whitfield officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
